Return & Shipping Policy
Acquiring original art is a significant investment. My goal is for you to be completely thrilled with your new artwork. Because of the fragile nature of fine art and the high costs associated with specialized shipping and crating, my return policy is strict and clearly outlined below.
Original Artwork: 7-Day Return Window
If you purchase an original, ready-to-ship artwork and it does not work in your space, you may return it for a refund (minus original shipping costs), provided you meet the following conditions:
Notification: You must contact me at hello@samirasukhatme.com within 7 days of the delivery date to request a return.
Original Condition: The artwork must be returned in perfect, gallery condition. Any damage to the piece during its time in your possession or during the return transit will void the refund.
Original Packaging: The artwork must be repacked using the exact packaging and protective materials in which it was originally shipped.
Commissions and Custom Work: Final Sale
Because commissioned artworks and custom-framed pieces are created specifically to your requested specifications, all commissioned and custom works are Final Sale. These items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund under any circumstances.
Return Shipping and Insurance Liability
If you choose to return an eligible original artwork, please be aware of the following financial responsibilities:
Original Costs are Non-Refundable: The initial cost of shipping, crating, and insurance is non-refundable and will be deducted from your final refund amount.
Return Shipping Costs: The buyer is responsible for coordinating and paying for return freight or shipping.
Return Insurance: You must fully insure the return shipment for the total purchase price of the artwork. If the piece is damaged in transit on its way back to me and is under-insured or uninsured, you will be held financially responsible, and no refund will be issued.
Damages During Initial Delivery
I ship all artwork fully insured and carefully crated. In the rare event that your artwork arrives damaged due to mishandling by the carrier, you are fully protected, but you must follow these steps exactly so I can process the insurance claim:
Contact me immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) at hello@samirasukhatme.com
Take clear, high-resolution photographs of the damage to the artwork.
Take clear photographs of the exterior and interior packaging, showing any dents, punctures, or crushed corners on the crate or box.
Keep ALL original packaging materials. Do not throw the crate or bubble wrap away, as the insurance adjuster may require an inspection. Failure to retain the original packaging may result in a denied insurance claim and void your refund.
